How do I get to the stage where im perfororming in a west end show?
I am studying theatre as a BTEC national first and am going to take it for a levels also.I have been acting since I was 7 and have played roles in the West End twice.The only reason I cannot do musicals is that I can’t sing to that standard,should I get a singing coach and train for 3/4 years?Should I go to drama school,get an agent and then see if any west end parts arise?Any ideas would be great
You sound like you’ve already performed in West End shows but aspire to do a West End musical. In that case, yes, you should study voice. You should not let the fact that you can’t sing “to that standard” be an inhibiting factor for the rest of your life (although it may take more than 3 to 4 years to get to that standard).
